Aquila Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Overview

The main pollutants in sewage are suspended solids, soluble organic compounds, and fecal pathogenic microorganisms, but sewage is not just made up of human excrement and water. A variety of chemicals like heavy metals, trace elements, detergents, solvents, pesticides, and other unusual compounds like pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, and hormones can also be detected in sewage. With urban runoff come potentially toxic compounds like oil from cars and pesticides that may reach the treatment plant and, eventually, a water body. Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater, primarily from household sewage. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove these contaminants and produce environmentally safe treated wastewater.

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Working Priciple

Primary treatment is the "removal of a portion of the suspended solids and organic matter from the sewage". It consists of allowing sewage to pass slowly through a basin where heavy solids can settle to the bottom while oil, grease and lighter solids float to the surface and are skimmed off.

We provide Sewage Treatment Plants that are designed and manufactured using Activated Sludge Process (ASP) technology. The water treated using our plant can also be used for flushing and washing. We also design plants using other advanced technologies such as MBBR technology, UASB technology and Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR). These technologies are discussed below:
